Mid Canterbury is a great place to keep animals – from horses and chickens, to cats and dogs.

However, animals need to be managed responsibly, both for their welfare and for the health and safety of our community.

We're currently proposing some interesting changes to our:

• Dog Control Bylaw & Policy (rules for dogs)
• Keeping of Animals, Bees and Poultry Bylaw (rules for other animals, including cats)
