We are also proposing to:
- Update and add some definitions, to be consistent with other strategic documents, add clarity to the policy, and reflect Local Dialect
- Include a consideration to impacts of a proposal on future communities, to reflect our legal requirements
- Update the significance threshold (to five high criteria rather than four), in line with the additional proposed criteria
- Include a consideration of wider Manawhenua values, other than just land or bodies of water
- Lower the special consultative procedure trigger for Elderly Persons Housing, to ensure consultation would be undertaken in the appropriate circumstances.
